Managua

Managua is the capital and largest city of Nicaragua, located on the southwestern shore of Lake Managua. The city was declared the national capital in 1852. Prior to this, the cities of Leon and Granada fought fiercely for the right to be the capital of the country.

Tourists visiting Nicaragua practically do not stay in the capital, because there are no particularly interesting sights here.
