The northern regions of Laos has mountain ranges reaching up to 2000 metres in height. A large area of this region forms part of the ‘Golden Triangle’, along with bordering regions of Thailand, Myanmar and China. More than thirty different ethnic groups of people live here, and many of them have succeeded in preserving their own traditional lifestyles, traditions and clothing.
