San Francisco Monastery Cultural Center
The cultural center of the Monastery of San Francisco in the city of Granada is the main art museum of the city.
The museum is located next to the old San Francisco church and offers an excellent collection of historical objects, paintings and statues. There is a permanent exhibition and temporary exhibitions are held.

Interesting statues created by the natives of the island of Zapatera, dating from 800-1200. n e.
The statues are carved from basalt. The height of each from a meter to two and a half. Statues depict both people and animals. It is believed that these are either deities, or leaders or worshipers. In ancient times, statues stood around the mound hills and were facing anyone who approached these hills. Perhaps they guarded the sanctuaries, and maybe the places of sacrifice.
There are 27 works by famous artists of the Solentiname archipelago.
Oil Paintings – Primitive Paintings, a type of Nicaraguan painting that has become very famous all over the world. There is still a Primitive School of Painting in Solentiname, and this painting style of the archipelago is still being produced.
There is a collection of ceramics and other exhibits.
It is interesting to observe how a group of children learn the basics of drawing in the museum. Even drawing parallel lines is not without difficulties and zeal.
