San Juan del Sur city
San Juan del Sur is a Pacific coastal and coastal city in the Rivas department of southwestern Nicaragua. Located 140 kilometers south of Managua. San Juan del Sur is popular with surfers and is a holiday destination for many Nicaraguan families and foreign tourists.
Situated next to the crescent-shaped bay, San Juan del Sur was a popular holiday destination for gold miners heading to California in the 1850s.
The statue The Christ of the Mercy, 26 meters high, was erected on a high hill in the resort town of San Juan del Sur on the Pacific coast. This is the tallest statue of Christ in Central America.
From the observation deck, organized next to the statue, a beautiful view of the village and the bay opens, in which various small vessels are moored, and sometimes majestic cruise liners, making a stop for a one-day tour of tourists in Nicaragua.
And of course, the statue is clearly visible from the ocean and many coastal places.
The beaches of San Juan del Sur is this is what primarily attracts tourists.
