Cock-fights
Cock-fights are one of the traditional forms of entertainment in Nicaragua. At the same time, on Saturday evening, fights were held in several places near the city of Masaya.
Before the battle – weighing birds. There are probably different weight categories.
There are different rules for conducting cockfights. In Nicaragua, a sharp blade is set on a rooster's paw and the battle ends with the death of one of the birds.
The referee calls the next pair competing in the ring.
Before the battle itself, the hosts pit the cocks on each other. Moreover, other roosters who are not participating in the upcoming battle also participate in this process.
