Cerro Negro Volcano
Cerro Negro is an active volcano in the Cordillera de los Maribios mountain range. This is a new volcano, the youngest in Central America, first appeared in April 1850. The gravel-basaltic slag cone of the volcano, which contrasts strongly with the surrounding green slopes of the hills, and gave it a name. Cerro Negro – means "Black Hill". Since the first eruption, "Black Hill" has troubled local residents relatively often – 23 times. The last eruption happened in 1999.
Cerro Negro Volcano is the youngest in Central America.

The most unusual entertainment on the volcano is the descent along the slope of Cerro Negro on the board is volcano boarding. They say that the speed reaches 60 km per hour.
