Perhaps the most famous and important tourist attraction in Bohol is the chocolate hills. They are depicted on the flag and coat of arms of the province. This unusual geographical landscape consists of about 1500 hills covered with dense vegetation. The history of the hills is unknown.
The large number of hills concentrated in one area is an impressive sight. The average height of the hills is 30-50 meters, although some of them reach 120 meters.
The hills are covered with thick grass, which changes its color to brown during the dry period, thus justifying the name of the main attraction of the island.
Chocolate hills is a unique geological wonder that is not found anywhere else in the world.
